    Warne's firm no to one-dayers

    Despite several rumours and statements indicating that Shane Warne, whose scheduled one-day swansong, the 2003 World Cup turned out to be a non-starter because of some vanity, the man himself today emphatically said no to a comeback to one-day international cricket.

    Previously on Warne's retirement: Super-sub rule and Warne's return?, Lord's final tie and Warne missing and Australia's hopeless defence of 434.
