Dan Cullen in Australia's one-day squad to Bangladesh

Mick Lewis, who starred with the ball (0/113 in 10 overs) in that one-dayer less than 20 days ago, has been left out from Australia's one-day squad against Bangladesh. The last player to have gone through that sort of disgrace was Craig McMillan. Hang on, wasn't it Andrew Symonds last year?

Ok, so who is Daniel Cullen. He's a right arm off-spinner. He was named Australia's "Young Cricketer of the Year" and joined the likes of Phil Jaques, Ricky Ponting, Shane Warne, Mike Hussey and Karen Rolton on Australian cricket's night of celebration last month.

He will be turning out for Somerset this season and was named by Mark Waugh late last year as a future test prospect. Although he missed out on an Ashes tour berth last year, he was named in the contracted players list.

It is deeply ironic that the other new player who won a contract was ... Michael Lewis!
