Inzamam needs to have a rethink

Inzamam announced today that in order to preserve his fitness, he would be more selective in terms of the tests and one-dayers he played for Pakistan.
If we have won a series, I can rest in the final games and it gives us a chance to blood young players.
I can only hope that he was talking in the context of resting in the final games of one-day series already won. The last time Pakistan went into the final test of a series, other than one against Zimbabwe or Bangladesh, safe in the knowledge that the trophy was in the bag was more than five years ago, after winning the second test in Sri Lanka in 2000. So in that sense, it is highly unlikely that he will enjoy that luxury in test cricket, if past performance is any indicator.
