    6-day Tests? Why not 7 or 8?

The news is that Pakistan is trying to push for 6-day Tests. If you want to extend, it should be because you are not able to get results as often as possible and we end up with boring draws most of the time. I just did a statsguru search and found out that Pakistan have drawn just six Tests out of their last 40 and out of those six, four games were played in Pakistan. Instead of pushing for 6-day Tests, the PCB can ask their captain to shut up and do the captain's work and not to groundsmen's work and also the board can talk to the curators and prepare better cricketing wickets rather than preparing lop-sided ones to play for draws probably fearing the opposition. And usage of orange balls, is just another complication to add to the so-called new dimensions of cricket.

They might as well have six day test if they want to, but if the over rates don't improve, you still won't get the required 450 overs in.

In this series Lahore has been the only one affected by bad light significantly. The other problem of course is the lack of will by bowlers to run in and bowl (and fielders not being bothered with retrieving the ball in time from the boundary) with any sort of energy given the way the wickets have behaved for all but eight hours in the series.
