    Peter Roebuck hates lefties

He can hate whoever he wants, but he needs to get his facts right. In the context of there being so many left-handed openers, he says
Of the 13 openers to play more than nine Test innings in 2005, 10 were cackhanders. Both Pommy openers were cackhanders. Pakistan's only reliable front-liner, a cove by the name of Salman Butt, has followed in the footsteps of Aamer Sohail and Saeed Anwar. His usual partner is a leftie. Admittedly Mark Richardson has retired (whereupon he has started playing some shots) and the Kiwi innings is started by twins rescued from the set of Lord of the Rings. And Virender Sehwag does open for India but his prospective partners, Wasim Jaffer and Sourav Ganguly, are southpaws.
Wasim Jaffer is right-handed, Peter. But of course, never let the facts get in the way of a good column, eh?

Roebuck is taking the piss for crying out loud, no need to get so defensive about it. I'm a left hander and i saw the amusing side of his article.

kurt: I wasn't questioning Roebuck's satire. I was questioning his facts. Wasim Jaffer isn't left-handed.
