Sri Lanka tour to India postponed

The BCCI announced that since the Sri Lankan cricket board had not confirmed the schedule for the proposed one-day series against India, the tour was being postponed to a more convenient date.

The Sri Lankan board is in crisis mode currently after the government assumed control citing various malpractices and complaints against the administration.

The tour was proposed by the BCCI last month. Perhaps it was to make up for the fact that there would not be a tsunami relief game. Hey wait a minute! Wasnt that game called off because it would be too hot? Perhaps its never too hot to play Sri Lanka then.

Of course, the other possibility is that since the tsunami game would have involved cricketers from nations with cooler climes, they could have had a lot of health problems. My guess is that the BCCI, which absolutely adores players, except their own, had kindly agreed to not play the game in April.
