Seedings for 2007 World Cup confirmed

Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Pakistan head the seedings for the 2007 World Cup. Given the way the groups are organized, and the fact that the top two teams from each group qualify to the next stage, barring major upsets, it is pretty obvious that Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, India, New Zealand, England, Pakistan and West Indies should make it to the Super Eights. I really do wonder about the point of playing the entire first round of matches.
