No cricket match at Calcutta for tsunami victims

A month after it was decided that the game at Calcutta to raise funds for victims of the Indian Oceam tsunami would be played in April, the Indian meteorological department admitted that it had goofed up when it told the BCCI that April was a great month to play cricket in because of the sub-20 degrees temperature and no rains. The BCCI found out after a month of research that April in Calcutta was the wrong time to play the game. Of course, having a schedule with six one-dayers in April is entirely defensible since these games fetch money for the BCCI while in the case of a charity game, the BCCI gets nothing.
