    Victory, ducks and London buses

Geraint Jones, without a single duck in his test career for 51 innings, since debut, now has two, from the same game. Whether this means he will be dropped, to make way for Chris Read, is something for England's selectors to ponder about. Purely going by Monty Panesar's performance at the WACA, bringing in Read may not be a bad idea, in terms of drafting in uncluttered minds and players willing to do everything it takes, rather than folks like Ashley Giles and Geraint Jones who were Fletcher's favourites ™/© and have suffered too many failures on tour so far.

In news just in, Australia have regained the Ashes, lost 463 days ago at The Oval, winning by 206 runs. Shane Warne now has 699 wickets and is all set to get to #700, having got #600 at Old Trafford last year.
