    You want irony? Try this

The feared 1960s West Indies fast bowling pair of Wes Hall and Charlie Griffith have offered to rejuvenate Jermaine Lawson's international career.

Almost exactly a year ago, Jermaine Lawson's action was reported.

So where's the irony, you ask. The irony is that Charlie Griffith is volunteering to help someone out with his action. Griffith's action, especially when he "bowled" bouncers and yorkers, was widely considered to be suspect.

Previous delicious irony here: Ian Botham's 50th birthday celebrated in his favourite country, Gavaskar, born 57 years ago, comes up with ideas for one-day cricket, Chris Broad pulls up indisciplined players and Clive Lloyd rules on slow over rates.
