Chucking report card: Shabbir and Lawson in trouble

Shabbir Ahmed, who was reported for an illegal bowling action after the first test at Barbados between Pakistan and West Indies a couple of months ago, has now been officially suspended from international cricket after the ICC obtained proof that he bends his arm more than what the ICC's official protractor, sponsored by whoever, allows him to.

Meanwhile even as his team matched Sri Lanka blow-for-blow in the first innings only to surrender the advantage with some hopeless bowling to the tailenders and being blown away in the second innings, Jermaine Lawson, who picked up 8/102 in the game and was probably West Indies' best bowler on view, has been reported by the umpires for a suspect bowling action. Lawson had been earlier reported after West Indies' record run-chase against Australia two years ago.
