Scotland wins ICC Trophy
Scotland beat hosts Ireland in the final of the ICC Trophy to win the championship.
The hero was Ryan Watson who topscored with 94 and bowled 9 overs for 45 runs and took a wicket. Ed Joyce, about whom much is expected, topscored for Ireland with 81. Given that he qualifies to play for England shortly, it may have been likely that he played for England against Ireland in the 2007 World Cup. But the groupings means that Canada joins England's group while Ireland plays Pakistan, West Indies and Zimbabwe. The rest of the seedings were announced earlier this year in April.
The other countries, aside from Scotland and Ireland, who have qualified for the 2007 World Cup are Bermuda, Canada and Holland.
