    Who was Australia in disguise?

This is obviously a logical headline since Sri Lanka have made 443/9 in a fifty over one-dayer farce against the Netherlands, beating South Africa's four month old record of 438.

Firstly, I have no idea why Sri Lanka fielded such a strong side against Holland: Jayasuriya, Sangakkara, Dilshan and Fernando played while Jehan Mubarak, Prasanna Jayawardene and Ruchira Perera didn't play. At least Arnold's past it, but these three certainly deserve more chances.

Secondly, clearly Jayasuriya was hopeless. After making 152 off 99 against an England attack bowling pie-throwing line-up of Harmison, Plunkett, Bresnan & Kabir Ali, he only made 157 from 104 today, at an inferior strike rate. Clearly Netherlands is a superior one-day bowling side compared to England.

Thirdly, Sri Lanka's lower order is clearly crappy. Numbers 6-10 made 37 runs from 34 balls, 31 of them came from the 25 balls Maharoof faced.

To answer you question about why Sri Lanka fielded such a strong side, it was because they were robbed of the same record just four days ago by that stupid rule which says that "the match is over when the score made by team batting first is overhauled"
