    Green top in Jamaica?

Ashish Shukla reports for PTI that a quick bowling friendly green top awaits India's batsmen in the first one-dayer of the five game one-day series starting tomorrow.

Skipper Brian Lara reckons that the only way he can control India's batting lineup is through pace. That is a fair call, entirely backed up by what happened at the Wankhede and the National Stadium. Yet, the problem is that given India's recent ability to chase just about any target, Dravid will almost invariably opt to bowl first if he wins the toss.

Effectively, Brian Lara is heavily banking on winning the toss. I'd say that is a huge gamble, given that from whatever I've seen, a lot of the folks in his batting lineup lack the ability and patience to deal with swing bowling, especially when the runs aren't quite coming.
