What is the best way to get Gilchrist out? Bowl spin and/or pray

Even as Justin Langer gloats over his side's remarkable comeback win at Christchurch, BBC Sport wonders about what it would take to restrict the chief protagonist of that escape, Adam Gilchrist. It wonders, based on statistical evidence, if spin will help. The evidence certainly seems to suggest so, considering that only Kumble, Harbhajan and Vettori have dismissed him five or more times in tests.

Inevitably, the BBC wonders if Ashley Giles will be as successful as these three spinners. The problem is that for Giles to get Gilchrist out consistently well, he will need a couple of things, luck & ability. He may actually be able to squeeze out the former. I seriously doubt about the latter. We all know how good Giles really is.
