    And then there was one

Among the three W's of West Indies cricket, only one remains now. Sir Everton Weekes, he of the five consecutive hundreds fame, is now the last man standing after his famous partner in bowler-bashing, Sir Clyde Walcott, died last week, aged 80.

He was a run-machine, as the numbers (15 centuries in 44 tests, a batting average of over 56 and averaging nearly 60 at #5), clearly indicate.

The third W, Sir Frank Worrell, died nearly 40 years ago!

Pakistan's Wasim Raja and India's Vijay Mehra had also passed away last week.
