    India Shining?

After Pakistan's negative show in the form of the pitch at Lahore, I posted that they were afraid of losing. There was a fair amount of disagreement over my statement. Inzamam wondered why he should be defensive having put on nearly 700 runs. He also said that many people realised that it was going to be a draw when the weather interrupted. Sorry Inzy Bhai, when you guys batted so brilliantly, most of us knew that it would be a certain draw as India's batsmen were surely equipped to give back as good as the bowlers got. Now he is wondering about how to stop India's run flow. Simple, be brave and don't talk to the curator in private. There is another way too - pray for rain!

Also, while everyone talks about the man who smashed 254 runs, they seem to forget the other opener, who made a small matter of 128 unbeaten runs, especially from a position he was not completely comfortable with.

The winner of this series is obviously a question mark for now. But I get the feeling that India are better prepared. Bouncy tracks, green tops, Lahore-type wicket or anything that is offered, my gut feeling is that India will dominate. I'm sure there are some people out there hoping to prove me wrong. I just hope that they're not Chappell's boys!

beowulf: If Pakistan prepares a wicket which has bounce in it, their bowlers have the pace and ability to make full use of it on the first day. But bouncy wickets don't normally happen in wintry conditions.
