Dhoni bowling with the new ball

On the final day of the game, Pakistan opted to bat on and on and on, completely blowing away my prediction yesterday.

Pakistan's approach was quite ridiculous and an insult to cricket. While most of the first session went according to what I said, they didn't see the need to declare and just batted on and on.

I have no idea why Dravid kept giving the ball to his regulars even when it was plainly obvious that Pakistan were just taking batting practice. He should have got the likes of himself, Yuvraj, Tendulkar, Sehwag, Laxman etc. to bowl. Now the new ball has been taken and Mahendra Singh Dhoni has just bowled his first over in test cricket. His new ball partner is Yuvraj Singh. Kapil Dev's effusive praise for Dhoni will reach new peaks now.

If Pakistan declares, does India have to accept the declaration? Why accept it when there's a risk of losing a few wickets and brownie points?
