    2007 World Cup schedule revealed

    Following the conclusion of the ICC Trophy, the organizing committee of the 2007 World Cup announced that the tournament would start on March 13th with Pakistan and hosts West Indies playing the first game. The other teams in Group D are Zimbabwe and Ireland. The final is scheduled for 28th April.

    Play commences in the other groups on 14th March (Group A: Australia, South Africa, Scotland, Holland), 15th March (Group B: Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Bermuda) and 14th March (Group C: New Zealand, England, Kenya, Canada)

    Saint Lucia will welcome the teams, officials and fans to Group C of the competition. Play starts at Beausejour on 14 March when Kenya takes on Canada. Kenya, the surprise team from the last ICC Cricket World Cup, also closes out group play on 24 March, when they face England.

    Eight teams, the top two from each group, progress to the next round, the Super Eight stage. If you can try and help decipher the modus operandi of this stage, please leave comments.
