Brett Lee to benefit from new ICC rules

I realized, albeit two days too late, that the new set of recommendations proposed by the ICC's cricket committee has one that will really benefit Brett Lee: the bit on allowing substitutes to bat and bowl. Right now he is the world's most glamorous 12th man and was within striking distance of being 12th man for his state side as well. Rumours that he has been approached by five English counties to be their twelfth man are apparently totally unfounded.

So in such a situation, the new proposals come as a godsend to him. Now Australia can play him in the one-day side and make one of the batsmen sit out when Australia bowls. But hang on, he isn't having problems with the one-day side. Its the damn test side which is a problem. Oh well, back to the drawing board!
