Rain spoils Australia's party as Stuart MacGill hopes for a recall

After helping New South Wales win the Pura Cup, Stuart MacGill is now targetting a spot in the Ashes tour party. He says that he will be absolutely devastated if he didnt make the list. Who knows, perhaps switch to playing for England?

Meanwhile Australia's hopes of cleaning up New Zealand were thwarted by the weather as only 18 overs of play was possible on the final day due to rain. The previous day hadn't been rain-free either. That period of time was enough for Australia to give New Zealand a real scare with the dismissals of Fleming and Marshall in the third over. Fleming was out lbw to McGrath yet again while Marshall was perhaps wrongly given out lbw. Lou Vincent's dismissal a few overs before rain arrived gave Kasprowicz his 100th test wicket. Fortunately for McMillan, he did not get a chance to bat.

Australia have a 1-0 lead in the series and New Zealand's best hopes are for the weather to help them out again.
