Lara omitted from first squad against South Africa over sponsor issues
If its a new week, it must be a new crisis in West Indies cricket. With the ten days to go for the first test against South Africa, Brian Lara was left out from the side and Shivnarine Chanderpaul has been appointed captain.
The West Indies Players Association has been scathing in its attack on the decision of the WICB.
South African coach Ray Jennings is obviously delighted at the turn of events, and has already started talking about a whitewash. Does he have his players' support on this issue at least?
