    Hayden and Symonds in trouble?

Matthew Hayden's VB Series hasnt exactly gone to plan with Jason Gillespie scoring more runs in the four games they've both played so far. He did try to take the pressure off himself by trying out some rest but that hasnt worked either. Andrew Symonds' story isnt too much different from his fellow Queenslander.

Now both could face the chop from Australia's squad for the VB Series finals. Terry Alderman suggests that Hayden should concentrate on the test series and not be picked for the finals. Steve Waugh and Peter Roebuck had both wondered on similar lines but the selectors obviously didnt listen to them. Kim Hughes is also in favour of sending Hayden back to domestic cricket to regain form and confidence.
