    Brian brightens the Windies

Brian Lara's brilliant 156 against Pakistan at Adelaide ensured that the West Indies were still in the hunt to sneak ahead of Pakistan to get thrashed by Australia in the final. West Indies may not boast of too many records nowadays. But this one will take some beating. Viv Richards, Chris Gayle and Brian Lara are the only ones with three scores in excess of 150 in one-dayers!
