Aussies enjoying Twenty-20
Australian cricket fans and players are clearly enjoying the small experiment with Twenty-20. Australia "A" and Pakistan played out a game last week which was well attended. This has prompted Cricket Australia to make it a permanent feature for future domestic seasons. Viv Richards though warns against neglecting the conventional 50-over ODI.
Australian coach Buchanan feels that this game would force new rules to come in place for 50 over cricket. Interestingly this column has already spoken about a possible restructured way of scheduling a test match which are related to what Buchanan suggests for the 50-over game.
