Breaking/Brief news

    November 15, 2004

Though the batsmen seemed to get back to form, while the loss to Pakistan would have hurt the Indians, there was more bad news coming there way with Ganguly being suspended for the next 2 Tests for slow over rate. This is inspite of delays beyond his control like dew, ball changes and injuries to Pakistani batsmen. The BCCI has appealed against the ICC's judgement and that means that Ganguly is permitted to play international cricket pending the result of the appeal. Imran Khan has questioned the ban and offered support to Ganguly.

In addition, Yousuf Youhana and Irfan Pathan were fined for not observing the Middle-East code of conduct which forbade a re-enactment of the Crusades.
