In a fairly expected move, Tendulkar was named in the squad for the first two tests against Australia. But bizarre though was Mohd. Kaif's inclusion at the expense of Sridharan Sriram's, who had made a fighting first innings century against what will eventually be the Indian bowling attack against Australia. In contrast, Kaif's knock came when the India "A" side was in a good position, looking to win. My opposition to Kaif's inclusion in one-day sides despite his lack of batting performances is documented, his inclusion in the test squad gives me further ammo if/when he fails.
