Cricket 24x7 - All the cricket

Breaking/Brief news

    September 30, 2004

In a totally ridiculous situation, Kiran More and Pranab Roy, who accused Abhijit Kale of attempting to bribe them almost a year ago have now been rewarded with berths on the selection committee, with More being the chairman of selectors. This in spite of reports that they could have been banned earlier for failing to report the incident early enough. How the hell do we expect Indian cricket to progress when the administrators do not have a modicum of self respect or integrity? How can two people who have been accused of bribery be rewarded? Then again, what do you expect when politicians are involved.
