Less than a week after the Australian team won an award for fair play, Glenn McGrath was hauled up and fined 25% of his match fee for swearing after an lbw appeal against Jayasuriya was turned down. Chris Broad, the match referee, carried the farcical decision to its natural conclusion when he said that he was letting McGrath off lightly because of his impeccable behaviour prior to the offense. Evidently Ramnaresh Sarwan is just a fictitious Rudyard Kipling character.
