An Indo-Pak Twenty20 game for Bob Woolmer?

This is totally beyond my understanding. The late Bob Woolmer's widow, Gill, wants India and Pakistan to play a Twenty20 game as a fund-raiser for his cricket academy in South Africa.

I know he was born in India. But, in my opinion, the countries that should do the fund-raising are South Africa, Pakistan and England. The academy is in South Africa, he coached South Africa and the Woolmers lived there. He last coached Pakistan and he played for England.

This is a blatant abuse of the drawing power of India's cricketers and sponsors. Although Niranjan Shah, the BCCI secretary, says time has to be found, time will be found. The Twenty20 World Cup is to be held in South Africa in September 2007. I'm sure India and Pakistan will play a game prior to that tournament. That'll mean South African spectators come in to watch these two teams in action. Since it'd be tied in with the Twenty20 World Cup, that guarantees a TV audience too!

Disgusting, but a win-win situation for everyone but India's and Pakistan's players.
