    England go 1-0 up!

For the second year in a row, Australia have lost the first final of the triangular series. Last year, it was Sri Lanka. Now, it is England. Yes! E N G L A N D!

In 2005, Ponting skippered Australia to an Ashes defeat. In ODIs, Australia's loss in the first game of the 2005 NatWest Series was it's second consecutive one to England, having lost in the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy. Now, Ponting's been in charge when England have beaten Australia twice in two games again!

Oddly enough, I felt a sense of glee seeing Australia slip. Especially when someone like McGrath drops a sitter or when the bowling seems so toothless or when I find out that Australia slipped from 170/1 in 30 overs to 252 all out!
