    South Africa announce another quota

Paul Adams' and Nicky Boje's inclusion in the South African squad for the three test series against India starting next Friday can have only one meaning. South Africa are now actively following a policy of a spinners' quota.

For the life of me, I can't figure out what the selectors are trying to say. Exactly who're they trying to kid? I can't recollect a single instance of a home series where South Africa selected two spinners! Is this a case of 'When playing against Romans, do as Romans do'? Are they implying that the wickets are going to help spin? Are they trying to confuse India into playing two spinners? Are they trying to placate Nicky Boje?

Paul Adams has been so out of the spotlight, he doesn't even feature on this blog, not even once.

Answers on a post-card please. Actually, preferably, answers in comments here please! Are there any South Africans/South African cricket fans who read this blog? Are there any South African bloggers who write about cricket? How about bloggers who write about cricket in South Africa?
