    Bad boy, Justin

Four years after he claimed that he'd run through a brick wall for his skipper, Justin Langer promptly got himself into Stephen Rodger Waugh's bad books [no, not the new 10 kg weight measure he wrote] when he discussed his possible retirement after the Ashes
I have always said that the day you decide to retire, do it - don't announce it ahead of time, because it will just lead to huge distractions.
He was very obviously taking potshots at Steve Waugh's retirement announcement which was widely talked about and became the focus for the entire series, ultimately culminating in a captain's gutsy innings faced with the possibility of being the first Australian captain in over a decade to lose a home series.
