Quote of the day: Sharad Pawar
Shortly after being named the new BCCI President, Sharad Pawar when asked about Sourav Ganguly's future in Indian cricket, said
Sourav Ganguly is one of the best allrounders produced by this country.Is he being facetious or justifying the selectors' decision? I reckon it is the former!
The interesting thing about the office bearers list is that Inderjit Singh Bindra is absent. Does he want to just offer outside support? Surely it isn't a case of a state unit President being ineligible to be an office-bearer in the BCCI, for Lalit Modi, the head of the Rajasthan Cricket Association and one of those who first mooted the idea of the BCCI running a TV channel, an idea which was subsequently shot down is now a Vice President.
