Shane Warne denies retirement news; Mark Waugh jumps to his rescue

Shane Warne, currently courting controversy as well as turning out for Hampshire, has emphatically denied rumours that he would retire after the 2006/07 Ashes in Australia. The denial comes after a report in an Australian newspaper quoted his brother as saying that Shane had talked about that series being his grand finale.

Meanwhile Mark Waugh is quick to come to the rescue of his naive fellow punter when it comes to the issue of sledging. While we're on that issue, here's what Geoff Lawson had to say when it was revealed that Warne & Waugh received money in exchange for information.

Stephen Brenkley, on Shane gave a Prior warn(e)ing.
