Easy pickings - South Africa take 2-0 lead

It was a bad Jamaican weekend for West Indies as they lost both the ODIs to South Africa by 8 wickets. On Saturday, they got some respectability by posting 253 with Sarwan, Chanderpaul and Smith contributing with the bat. But, that wasn't enough for any fight as Graeme Smith hit his fourth one-day hundred and led his side to a very comfortable victory in just 45 overs.

On Sunday, West Indies pretty much lost the match after they just managed 152 for 7 wickets in the 50 overs with Browne contributing an unbeaten 46 off 59 balls. Even rain could not save the West Indies as the revised target for South Africa, after a brief spell of rain brought Messrs. Duckworth & Lewis into the picture, was 124 to get from 33 overs, which they managed in less than 27 overs. This time, the skipper failed. Dippenaar's weekend scores, of 56 and 60, clearly shows that nothing is right with West Indies cricket.
