India face must-win situation at Eden Gardens thanks to slow scoring, Danish Kaneria and Steve Bucknor

After the Mohali Test, all eyes have moved to the Kolkata pitch which could dictate the team composition for both sides. With the Pakistani pacers posing no threat to the Indian batsmen, the only threat looks to be in the form of Danish Kaneria and so there have been reports that there could be a seaming wicket in Kolkata tomorrow. 'They are aiming to target us with their full pace attack' - these are usually the words you hear from an Indian captain, sometimes when his team had to face any three out of Imran, Sarfraz, Wasim, Waqar, Aaqib and Shoaib. This is an Inzy statement though! Doesn't it show the new pace-face of Indian cricket? On the other hand, in Mohali with three pacers, India couldn't wrap up the Test. Perhaps we should attribute it to lack of killer-instinct?

For once, Woolmer seems to have some sensible words when he warns against complacency saying that it was just a draw and not a win to Pakistan, but also rightly credits Akmal and Razzaq. But since he's a Pom and coached South Africa, you have to expect the whinge. This time its about the SG cricket ball!

That said, India will possibly face a problem bigger than the pitch or Danish Kaneria in the form of a tall black man from Jamaica doing his 100th Test. He has a great record against India and who knows, he may have a new bag of tricks to reveal as part of his celebrations. Of course, to him its 'just another match'. Against India, we add!
