Umpires and match referee for India-Pakistan series announced
Darrell Hair, Steve Bucknor, Billy Bowden and Rudy Koertzen will umpire the India-Pakistan test series while Chris Broad is the match referee. Bucknor gets to celebrate his 100th test as an umpire. I wonder though how come Bucknor has been foisted upon India again, in spite of his howlers when India were in Australia. Why is Chris Broad the referee when he was the one who hauled up Harbhajan for chucking his doosra? If other cricket boards can have their way in terms of umpires and referees, why cant the BCCI? Perhaps it is busy with other non-cricketing matters. That is why the players miss out, as usual.
