Breaking/Brief news

    December 27, 2004

Matthew Hayden could do with some more batting tips from his daughter. He got out to Shoaib for the third time this series as Australia ended the second day of the Boxing Day test on 203/5. Gilchrist had already made his mark, scoring 26 out of the 32 runs made during his partnership with Martyn when bad light brought an end to the proceedings. Pakistan were all out for 341, surely around 150 runs short of what they would have been eyeing when they were 285/3 an hour before stumps yesterday.
