Zaheer, Chopra, Gambhir, Mongia, Rayudu, Parthiv & Murali Karthik will look at capitalizing on their selection in the Rest of India side for the Irani Trophy match. For opponents & Ranji champions Bombay, Jaffer, Bahutule, Powar, Salvi and Munaf will look to stake a claim for a spot in the India squads against Australia & South Africa at home. In spite of being runners-up, Tamil Nadu finds just one representation in the Rest of India side. Is that because of some obvious bias or because Tamil Nadu's team is greater than the sum of its parts?
