Breaking/Brief news

    July 28, 2004

George Headley, Sir Garfield Sobers, Sir Viv Richards, Sir Frank Worrell and Brian Lara were chosen as the five greatest cricketers of all time. This is part of the Scotiabank West Indian Jubilee celebration. Amazingly enough, none of the quick bowlers of the 1980s, Marshall, Holding or Roberts made the list which turned out to be very skewed towards the batsmen. I really think one of those three should have been in the list ahead of Lara.
