Breaking/Brief news

Matthew Hoggard makes a case for Vaughan opening at Leeds. His argument, which would make a lawyer like Nani Palkhivala applaud in his grave (or whatever Parsis do to the dead), is that Vaughan should open because he knows how to play at Headingley, Vaughan's home ground. Hoggard goes onto say that Strauss played well at Lord's because it was his home ground. Yorkshire & Headingley boy Hoggard needs to explain his bowling analyses of 1/102 in 36 overs (after getting Sehwag out in his 4th over) against India during the Headingley test in 2002 and 1/53 in 4 overs against Sri Lanka that same year in a one-dayer. Maybe his arguments hold true only for batsmen.
