Can cricket do what baseball has done? The Major League Baseball site offers a plethora of content for those with broadband connections, such as free daily audio-video highlights and video of memorable moments. I realize that a game of cricket is definitely more time consuming than a game of baseball, but it'll be interesting to see if the various 20-20 like competitions which're now part of the domestic season in England, South Africa and Pakistan can be webcast.

With each game lasting just around 3 hours, it is an ideal game to market for the web, especially to office-goers. The hitch is that the games typically start in the evening so that they can attract the most crowds. While that effectively rules out office-goers in those countries, there are huge numbers of cricket fans (in college and at work) in the US, who're very much connected to the net. For them, a 20-20 game in England or South Africa which starts during the evening local time would start around 9-10 am PST or afternoon EST. Are the guys at Wisden CricInfo pondering about this?
