    South Africa back on top

    Hundreds by Smith & Gibbs in the third and fourth ODIs (respectively) helped South Africa take a 2-1 lead over England in the 7-match ODI series. They could have easily been up 3-1, if they hadn't choked at Bloemfontein. Michael Vaughan did not play the 3rd ODI and made an almost match-saving duck at Cape Town.
