    Lehmann's gone !

Shahid Afridi could well be the last man to have captured the wicket of the legendary Lehmann, as the Australian selectors excluded him from the 14-man squad to tour NZ for 5 ODIs. It may be recollected that one of the first news in 2005 was Lehmann's Test place being taken away. Now he has well and truly conceded his place to Michael Clarke for sure! Australia's selection policy is bizarre though. They've picked Mike Hussey, a 30 year old to replace a 35 year old veteran. What happened to all the young players? Or perhaps one Clarke is too many for the foreseeable future?

By this Lehmann's efforts have been rewarded, but Hayden will continue with his part-time job.
