South Africa declared their first innings at 510 after some quick runmaking on the third day. Kumble finished with 6 wickets while Harbhajan picked up two. The start of play was delayed due to fog. In the first 2 days of play South Africa scored 459 runs at a run-rate of 2.5 - did they come in to draw Tests here in addition to being underdogs ? The Indian bowlers contributed by some really sub-standard bowling. Only Kumble has been successful, but even he didn't bowl as well as he normally does! Andrew Hall, who was opening the innings for the first time in Tests was allowed to make 163 and De Bruyn on his debut at No.7 made 83. The greatest disappointment for the Indian fans would be bowling of Harbhajan & Kartik. C'mon guys - make the game interesting ! No one wants dull drawn Tests anymore !
