Breaking/Brief news

    October 13, 2004

Vehicles plying on Beach road in Madras will be well advised to take a detour over the next few days until the test match is over. Traffic is certainly one problem. The other is that Warne plans to jump from the nearest bridge if he fails to get past Murali's record in the Madras test. Napier Bridge, which Tamil movie watchers would have seen in Mani Ratnam's Aayitha Yezhuthu, is the closest bridge to Chepauk. Warne's other alternative could be Hamilton Bridge, near the AIR building. Of course, Warne could also scale the MRTS station just outside the ground and dive headlong into the holy waters of the Koovam.
