Hussain's retirement last week has caused a problem of plenty for England: too many openers and not enough middle-order batsmen. Strauss opened with great success at Lord's and he'd come in instead of Vaughan, who has also been very successful (and less so when he's been captain) over the last couple of years. Trescothick could have been a potential candidate to move down the order, but he batted decently at Lord's too. Butcher is unwilling to move from his #3 slot. So what will England do?
